About JCSC

Johor Civil Service Club formed in early 1920, was later renamed Johor Cultural & Sport Club (JCSC). The 'old, but dignified Lady' was also the birth of World renowned, 'Hash House Harries'! The world's Hash was formed here in 1932 and it is known to be the Father club of all Hashes.

Testimony of JCSC's early beginnings!

First established to cater towards upper echelons of the Civil Service - namely the British, outsiders such as Planters and Managers were admitted, whilst Malaysians, only sparingly. The practice of encouraging civil servants and private sector to join the Club continues to this day, although the acronym 'JCSC' was changed to Johor Cultural Sport Club, at the behest of a Senior Government Officer, for the right reasons.

Whilst preserving this 'Family Oriented Club', we continue to embark on a membership drive, introducing 'Gold Life and Platinum Life'. We can not lay claim to have succeeded in this, however, are proud that many have taken-up this 'call', and now associated with the 'oldest Club in this great state of Johor'.

Set in lush green vegetation, you will be spoilt with a 'scenic atmosphere', for starters. Sip your chilled beverages at either the terrace, bar or, one of the food & beverage outlets, overlooking a clear lake. The 'tide & atmosphere' could not be better.

With ample parking, sports and recreational facilities, including gymnasium, indoor games room, swimming, fishing and food & beverages outlets to choose from, an rooms for meetings, office and library.

Non-Members/Guests will have to be accompanied and signed-in by Member.
